Rebecca is extensively trained in both the Hatha and Kundalini traditions, specializing in Yoga Nidra, Yin, and Restorative. She is a Certified Yoga Therapist through IAYT. Rebecca has trained with a diverse range of teachers exposing her to an assortment of styles. Some of her most influential include Paul Grilley, Yin and Judith Lasater, Restorative. Erich Schiffmann is her soul teacher and reminds her of the importance of trusting her inner guidance, remembering that we all are connected, and accepting that intuition is the true source of wisdom.
Rebecca received her BA in Psychology from University of Dallas in Irving, TX. After a few years of struggling to accept the corporate world, the magnetism from her practice developed into an intense desire to share the practice and she began teaching Hatha Yoga. The personal and spiritual growth that resulted from being fully immersed in the yoga world changed everything for her and she has never looked back.
Presently, Rebecca resides in Austin, TX, and spends her days teaching yoga and meditation, and creating one-of-a-kind malas. She teaches at several studios around town, offers private classes in her home studio, and teaches corporate classes during the week. Her mala shop, Rebecca Moon Designs, can be found on Etsy.com, and she considers making malas to be a big part of her meditation practice, as she chants mantra while she works.
Rebecca teaches public classes at Yoga Yoga and Eastside Yoga in Austin, Texas.
