TRANSFORM YOUR BODY & YOUR MIND!

Nia combines the healing arts of yoga, Feldenkrais & Alexander techniques, the martial arts of Tai Chi, Tae Kwondo, and Aikido, and the dance arts of modern and Duncan to create intentional and mindful movement that provides a cardio and strengthening experience that is fun and effective!  Developed over 30 years ago, Nia means “with purpose” in Swahili and is practiced worldwide.

Nia is non-impact, practiced barefoot, and adaptable to individual needs and abilities.

Nia is based on the intelligent design of the body.  Each practice brings mindfulness to your movement experience leaving you energized, mentally clear, and emotionally balanced.

Meet Amy Rojas:

Amy discovered how expressive and empowering movement can be at a young age and has found joy, inspiration, healing, peace, health, and well-being through various forms of movement over the years.

With a degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from The University of Texas at Austin, Amy Rojas has used her knowledge, combined with her passion, to help others embrace wellness for over 25 years.

Some examples include teaching various dance & fitness classes, personal training, cardiac rehab, weight management and nutrition counseling, empowerment coaching, and the movement technique of Nia.

Amy currently holds a white belt certification in Nia and loves to share this unique, effective, and FUN combination of dance, yoga, mindfulness, and martial arts.  Also a graduate of MBSR mindfulness training, Amy is thrilled to have discovered a movement technique that combines all of her favorite practices.
